30 Under 30 REALTOR® Magazine Testimonial for Kyle Malnati (Madison Commercial Properties – Madison & Co. Properties, Denver, CO) by Todd Narlinger

Todd Narlinger, the founder of Madison & Company Properties in Denver, CO, wrote a testimonial for my 30 under 30 application for Realtor Magazine:

“When I was approached by Kyle Malnati to write a letter of recommendation I was not only honored, but felt if there was one Denver, Colorado Realtor that deserved this letter, it was Kyle Malnati.

I met Kyle Malnati looking for an apartment building to condo convert in 2006.  As a top producing REALTOR with Re/Max, I started flipping properties for extra income in 1997.  I had to find a “smaller demand” market than single family investments.  Kyle was a commercial real estate team’s assistant, and the broker of record had Kyle show the property.  I jumped into a bigger asset and was concerned about finding a good broker to trust; Kyle immediately put my worries at ease.  I didn’t know that this was the beginning of an amazing relationship.  I represented myself on the first condo conversion and felt I would represent myself on every deal.  He communicated consistently to make sure everything went right.  He was a lower member of a top producing team, but updated me the most.  The project sold so quickly I decided to do more.  Great apartment buildings weren’t in the MLS.  I asked Kyle to hunt and call building owners for off market deals.  He ended up brokering three more (all of which were off-market), and I quickly realized that Kyle was my broker for life.  The ICON condo name in Denver (ICON 195, ICON 120, and ICON 1107) became so well known due to the hard work of Kyle Malnati.  Kyle became my broker for life.

In 2008, after being a Top Producer for Re/Max Masters since 1995, I opened my own brokerage firm, Madison & Co. Properties.   After growing to over 35 residential agents, I wanted a commercial presence.  At this time I knew Kyle had become one of the top Brokers at his office, but I was still going to give everything to recruit him to start Madison Commercial.  After many meetings and putting a plan in place, Kyle partnered up with me and opened Madison Commercial in June of 2011.  I knew Kyle was going to a great addition, but I did not realize what type of affect he would have with the entire culture at our office.  Kyle is always the first one in our office (I can always expect at least an e-mail or two by 5:30 am from him with his plan for the day) and one of the last ones to leave.  Since joining, Kyle has added two members to his team and just recently competed with some of the top brokers in town for a huge 39 unit condo project to list and we got the deal.  Not only has Kyle made a difference with our Realtors, he has become the best business partner anyone could ever ask for and has given me a whole new outlook how someone should conduct themselves personally and professionally.

In conclusion, I understand that you must receive hundreds of referral letters from many sources, and I’m sure it’s a very difficult process to find the special group you pick, but I have been in the Denver  real estate market since 1995 and have networked with many of them and can say that Kyle is not only the best broker I have ever worked with, he is also the most conscientious and caring person I have ever met.  I must mention that we recently had our holiday party and asked for donations on behalf of one of our Realtors who lost her husband this past year and Kyle was one of only two who remembered this and personally donated to his charity.  It takes a lot to make a great broker, but it takes more to be a great person.” Todd Narlinger/Broker Owner of Madison and Company Properties
