Properties, announces that Greg Johnson has joined the firm. Johnson joins Kyle Malnati to lead the commercial group. The two have a combined sales volume of $150M and nearly160 total transactions, making them one of the leading apartment brokerage teams in Denver.

Johnson, formerly with Cornerstone Apartment Services (2004-2012) and Marcus & Millichap (2003-2004), is a 10-year veteran of the apartment management and brokerage market with over $84M in total sales volume. At Cornerstone, he contributed to the firm’s growth from 400 units managed to over 1,500, making Cornerstone the largest management firm in Central Denver.

Malnati, formerly with Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors (2006-2011) and Unique Properties (2004-2006), was named “Rookie of the Year” at Pinnacle, recognized locally by DMCAR as a “Heavy Hitter” the past four years, and nationally recognized by REALTOR® Magazine in the 2012 class of “30 under 30”.

“Most of my clients are other real estate brokers,” says Kyle Malnati, 29, who learned the business from his wife’s cousin, a commercial practitioner, and now specializes in selling Denver apartments. “They are fully capable of selling their investment properties themselves, but they hire me because of my expertise, attention to detail, and candid communication,” he says. “It is a wonderful compliment.” In 2011, Malnati was paid the ultimate compliment; a former client asked him to start the commercial division of his residential firm. But the year was marked with tragedy, too; his younger brother died suddenly from a congenital heart defect. “It was a surreal period of time in my life,” Malnati says. “I harnessed that pain and emotion. My career didn’t stop.”
