Jared L. Lofton, MBA is the broker owner of a boutique real estate firm based in Houston, Lofton Realty. Prior to getting his start in the industry, he became the first in his family to graduate from college in 2002 and soon after moved to Houston, where he became a Keller Williams sales associate. Within two years, he had annual sales of more than $5 million and he started thinking seriously about branching off on his own. He reached that goal in 2008—just in time for a market slowdown.
In an effort to diversify in order to succeed, Jared also started a new division of his company, Love Moving Company to maintain consistent cash flow. Today, he also owns income properties to keep his eyes focused on profit margins and retirement plans. On this episode Jared shares his tactical methods for budgeting in the real estate business and how to make a systematic plan to save for your retirement.
