Rick Miller: “Pay attention to the details” – Episode 27 on the Kyle Malnati Show (Real Estate Podcast)

Rick Miller was interviewed on our 27th episode of the Kyle Malnati Show on Wednesday, April 27, 2016! Rick is a Commercial Account Manager at Land Title Guarantee Co., Boulder Colorado branch. Rick holds more than two decades of experience in business development with a strong background in growing new business opportunities into successful, profitable revenue streams.

In the late 80’s, Rick purchased his first investment property in Washington D.C., with his brother. “This was a disaster,” said Rick. He had no strategy, no mentors and a below average management company. From this experience Rick learned quickly to seek out mentors and intentionally associate with successful real estate investors. “You have to learn to overcome challenges…learn from the $10,000 mistakes and not the $1 million mistakes,” he said.

Rick is originally from Louisiana and is a father of three. He resides in Boulder with his wife Aimee and family. He owns 36 rental units and is the Commercial Account Manager at Land Title in Boulder.

Here are a few highlights from our YouTube podcast with Rick Miller:
– How crucial it is to have a mentor or team of advisers in this business?
– How do you handle failure through the real estate market’s ups and downs?
– How do you leave a legacy by giving your kids hands-on involvement with real estate investing?
– You should always pay attention to the detail and know your limits.
