Wednesday 2/3/2016: Tom Flegas and his daughter, Maria Flegas, were interviewed on our 21st episode of the Kyle Malnati Show! Tom and his brother, George Flegas, were born in Greece and they immigrated to the United States with only $6 in their pockets when they were in their 20s. In 1976 they bought a 12-unit apartment building, in Denver’s Cheesman Park neighborhood, at 1435 Franklin Street. For 40 years the Flegas family worked during the day in food service and worked nights/weekends at the apartment building. Their story is a true American Success story – they are living proof that the American Dream is alive and well.

The Flegas family immigrated to Colorado in the 1950s from Greece to start a new life. They purchased 1435 Franklin Street in 1976 and worked hard in their day jobs while raising a family and owning a real estate business. In just 7 years, the Flegas family PAID OFF their apartment building, because they were intentional about saving money and attacking the loan balance at the end of every year.
