In my real estate career, I’ve invested the majority of my time working with other small business owners. Every one of my clients operates a small business when they own rental property. They may not have a large staff nor do they have a fancy office, but they ALL make an economic impact.
In fact every Realtor that I interact with, including myself, is also a small business owner.
When it comes to saving and investing for retirement, NOBODY, no matter their age, feels like they got started early enough.
As a small business owner (real estate or otherwise), it can be really difficult for a lot of us to take our focus away from the “here and now” to think about something off in the distance, like the subject of retirement.
Difficult as it might seem, I want you to dream with me for a moment and ask yourself the following question. “What steps can I take today that will have a generational impact on my family?”
This is a question asked by Chris Hogan in his best selling book, Retire Inspired. In addition to your own retirement, Chris encourages his readers to think about future generations: your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
