Broker receives national real estate award.
Kyle Malnati, co-owner and principal of Madison & Co. Properties commercial real estate division, has been named to the “30 Under 30” Class of 2012 by the editors of Realtor Magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Realtors.
Malnati was the only broker from Colorado to be recognized by the magazine. Malnati, along with other honorees, is featured on the cover of Realtor Magazine’s May/June 2012 issue.
Each year, Realtor Magazine recognizes 30 young practitioners who are making a mark in the real estate industry through success in real estate, business management, leadership, or community service.
Malnati, 29, recently completed his first year at Madison with more than $10 million in total sales volume. He is a noted expert in all segments of the commercial real estate business, including multi-family properties, investments, financing, and management.
Last year, Todd Narlinger, a former client and co-founder of Madison asked Manalit to start a commercial division at Narlinger’s residential real estate firm. The year, however, was marked by tragedy when Malnati’s younger brother died suddenly from a congenital heart defect.
“It was a surreal period of time in my life as my twins were just eight weeks old,” said Malnati. “But I harnessed that pain and emotion because I realized that my business wasn’t going to stop.”
Each “30 Under 30” honoree provides a “tip” to success on their profile page. Malnati’s tip states “Simply focus on life balance. Be a good spouse, a good parent, a good businessperson, and an active participant in your community.”
Narlinger said Malnati earned the honor.
“I cannot describe how proud we are of Kyle’s accomplishments,” said Narlinger. “The 30 Under 30 recognition is well deserved, and we are pleased to have Kyle on our team. He is one of the best commercial brokers in Colorado and the only Colorado Realtor named to Realtor Magazine’s prestigious list. Kyle’s knowledge and expertise are unsurpassed, but it’s his spirit and character that we admire most.”
In 2007, Malnati was named Rookie of the Year at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors LLC after closing 10 transactions valued at nearly $10 million.
The following year he sold 12 properties valued at nearly $13 million and was named Pinnacle’s Top Producer for 2009, the highest honor bestowed upon a broker by Pinnacle management. Malnati was recognized for sales production in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 by the Denver Business Journal’s “Heavy Hitters” issue, and was named a Top Three Young Broker by the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors.
Prior to helping its founders build Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors into a leading commercial real estate firm, Malnati served as transaction manager for another boutique brokerage in Denver where he oversaw the successful closing of more than $69 million in investment real estate over two years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in banking and financial services from the University of Wyoming.
Malnati, whose business is in the Denver apartment community, started a commission-based charity fund in this brother’s name, giving him the opportunity to grieve while supporting his growing family and business.
